Syncronization between the hubspot calendar and the G-suite is often problematic. Therefore many people use hubspot as a CRM in order to have a database and at the same time use google calendar.Moreover the hubspot calendar is not optimal for companies because it does not allow to share with the customer an invitation to an event, unlike google calendar. The target are small companies (from 1 to 5 employees) that use the free version of hubspot. This project will link the google calendar to the hubspot calendar. Therefore users will still be able to use google calendar but they will be able to consult google calendar data on hubspot. They need it because it will prevent them from making mistakes. Indeed when they are on hubspot (the majority of the day) they will not have to check by opening a new tab to go on google calendar to make appointments.


How does it work?

We can easily take appointment in the Hubspot calendar and by ticking in a box make it display on google calendar. However, it is not possible to do the opposite. And it is much more interesting to create the appointment on google calendar because we can share it with the customer. I use Zapier as API. The goal is that when we create a new event in google calendar it will create a calendar task in Hubspot. It is possible to put a filter in order to automatically sort the events of google calendar that will go on the calendar of Hubspot. For the example these are all events of "emlyon" for that it is enough to type the word "emlyon" in the description or in the title of the event.

Convincing CEO's to use this system will be very simple because it is totally free. The only potential problem is data protection. Therefore it is very important to carefully read the privacy policy of zappier.Zapier will never resell the data of its users so connecting to the crm via zapier is not dangerous for the data of the customers present in the CRM. So meeting management is very important. It requires good calendar management. Therefore linking Hubspot and Google calendar allows to have a very optimal management of appointments.

Thanks to this function Hubspot will be able to compete directly with Streak which is a CRM with the particularity of integrating with your mailbox to help you organize. It allows you to follow different processes: sales, recruitment, partnerships, project management. The combination of mail and streak turns your mailbox into a commercial warfare machine. Even though the interface is not very easy to use initially, its flexibility makes it possible to manage many things in the same place, which makes the solution very convenient.
